No, The World Doesn't Need To Be Saved

Finally the rain season is coming. But I still can't forget that the last few months has been the worst days for people at sumatra and Borneo. As we've all heard on every news, the smoke from burning forest suffocated more than forty billion people there, and also we've know already that they burned down the forest for palm oil factory.

You know what doesn't make any sense for me? They have burned one of the richest and largest rainforest in the world, one of the most complex ecosystem that have been evolved for a billion years to sustained every living organism there, including human, the people, yes us! It gives whatever we need, water, oxygen, food, shelter, medicine, just whatever we need for living. And more importantly, rainforest have a crucial role for its ability to help regulate global and regional climate systems. The worst news is, that once it burned, they gone. You can't just burn down a forest, and hoping that yesterday it will grow back as good as new. Not in our life span of course. It might takes a hundreds or even a thousands of human generation, until the forest grow a succession and back to the sustainable ecosystem.

I love Vespa Shoulder Bag

Finally, after long Mermaid bag fever, I can move on to my other design! Hahaha! (evil laugh ^^) I made this design a few months ago, and posted it to my society6 shop. So, this is my favourite one, because it seems that all my family member, even Syana, loves Vespa! My father have two vespa and he's been riding it everyday, for as long as I can remember. Last year when I visited my parents at Lampung, Syana was so excited with the vespa :)

Sneak Peek: My latest Drawing Project

I made this sketch a few weeks ago, a girl reading so many books with her cat. As usual, I inspired by Syana and her increasing curiosity of books and music. She's now obsessed with letters, numbers, and she'll always try to read everything that has letter on it.. It's so much fun to see such a huge spirit of learning, she's not even 4 yet! She's now able to read some short words such as her own name, family members name, labels, and spells long letters correctly. So much improvement these past few months.. :))

Sketching Erza Scarlet

Erza Scarlet is soooo cooool, she's my favorite character on japanese anime called Fairy Tail. The story is amazing, and the characters is very inspiring. Very recommended to watch! This sketch is unfinished, and I will never be able to finish it, because soon after I took this picture, Syana put some chocolate finger-stamp on it... hahaha, I was just be like "oh..it's ok" with a bitter smile, lol..

So, what do you think? Have a good day all.. ^^

Tuffadoll's New Design: I Love Vespa

It's been a while since my first design on Society6, and now I'm back! :p So, it's a dolly girl riding vespa with her cat, how cute is that? Hehe.. I'm so excited to draw a Vespa, even though my drawing is far from amazing fine detail like it should be, but I remember it shape just like I remember my own face.. really?? Well, not that detail, but my father has been a huge fan of Vespa for as long as I can remember, so we were riding a lot when I was a kid.

I love the shade of vintage Vespa, a dusty old turquoise, that reminds me the old time when riding a Vespa is a must in our neighborhood..haha.. Well, time has changed but some people just can't let go off their old style, don't you think?

I think for my father, Vespa is not just a ride, it's a pride. So how about you? Do you love Vespa too?
This design is available at my Shop on Society6, check it out now!

Syana's Doodle Mug

Sometimes it's all about the utensils, when talking about food to your kids. Well, it must be quite frustrating at first, when you find out that your kids is a picky eater. But wait.., after few experiment that I've done while serving a meal for Syana, I realize that she is not so picky for food after all, but more about the cutlery! For example, when I change her regular plate into fancy Hello Kitty plate, or the 'kiddo' fork with 'adult' fork (but with super dull tip), her mood becomes better, and also her appetite. Oh and she loves surprise on her plate. So I always try to do some extra treatment to avoid the picky eater syndrome, usually by let her pick her own favorite cutlery.

Sleepy Mermaid Pouch

One day my daughter asked me to draw her a mermaid, and I'm so excited to draw it because mermaid is one of my favourite character too. Then I suddenly came up with the idea of making pencil pouch, since my drawing tools seems exponentially increasing in the past few weeks, and my older pencil case is full with my sewing tool (which is rapidly growing too :-p).

Sad Little Girl

One afternoon, few weeks ago, as usual my daughter played along with her friends, while I did some sketching with my new fancy graphit pencil (sadly it's broken now -_-). But I didn't know why, she was crying a lot and fighting over toys, random babling, and sometimes they even fighting over a song that they didn't even know how to spell the lyrics.. it's frustatingly funny to see actually..lol. Then suddenly my skecth book came up with this sad little girl face, I must've been so overwhelmed with my daughter's wierd mood. I haven't finish this sketch yet, I think I'll save it for another girls afternoon fight.
